چکیده

Abstract It is one thing to hold that merely statistical evidence sometimes insufficient for rational belief, as in typical lottery and profiling cases. another always belief. Indeed, there are cases where plainly does justify This project develops a dispositional account of the normativity evidence, dispositions ground justifying connected goals (= proper function) objects. There strong intuitive motivations doing this. For we can turn almost any case non-justifying into by adding information about objects involved. The resulting view not only helps us understand when why normatively significant, but it also how relates more standard forms (perceptual, testimonial). emerging has surprising applications, imposes limitations on epistemic value fine-tuning arguments theism well undermines class case-based moral encroachment.
